About

Mabel’s Market began as Mabel’s Farm Box in 2020. During Covid, we prepared cheese and charcuterie boxes for sale at local breweries and wineries with outdoor venues.

In 2022 we added strawberry shortcake to our menu and began selling at the Davis Farmers Market. The following year, we opened our Mabel’s Farm Box storefront in the Breezeway at Thyme Square in downtown Davis, expanding our offerings to include local jams and jellies, fresh bread and flowers and an expansive array of tinned fish.

In July of 2024, having outgrown our little 264-square-foot space in the Breezeway, we moved to a larger and better location on D Street. Today, we sell unique pantry and gift items, specializing in local and mostly West Coast products from small producers, including our original products as well as honey, mustards, salami, cheese, nuts and candy.

Our tinned fish continues to be our best seller. We are currently adding a bistro to Mabel’s Market. We hope to prepare small plates using all the special products from our shelves and provide them to guests in our dining room with full service and beer, wine and fun mocktails.
